Backpack Buddies – delivering backpacks of food to the most vulnerable children of our inner city schools.

Emily-anne Griffiths, Vice President and Co-founder Backpack Buddies gave our members an update at the March 7th meeting. Backpack Buddies has been expanding rapidly over the last few months, with many exciting milestones reached. Since December, we have grown from 7 donor schools to 11, and have expanded from 5 recipient schools to 8. We are feeding 1,010 children per month! We have also expanded our program into Surrey and Tsawwassen, making it a total of 5 communities serviced.
