100WomenVan’s donation of $7,000 to MOSAIC at our November 14th meeting helped serve 110 Syrian refugee women and children living in Surrey. Providing much needed support, as well as 88 literacy classes, guest speakers from UBC to talk about nutrition.
It’s gratifying to hear positive news on how 100WomenVan are making a direct impact in our community.
MOSAIC is a registered charity serving immigrant, newcomer and refugee communities in Greater Vancouver for the past 40 years. Services are delivered from 32 client-accessible sites and include settlement assistance; English language training; employment programs; interpretation and translation; counselling services; and community outreach for families and individuals, including children, youth and seniors. MOSAIC also offers services for the LGBTQ and temporary foreign worker communities.
