The Lipstick Project (TLP)
Had two big projects – they partnered with Camp Goodtimes run by the Canadian Cancer Society. Twice this summer, they joined the families for an afternoon at camp providing healing touch services to the caregivers in need of a much-deserved break. And both times they provided a total of 15 services. In the words of one of their clients: “It wasn’t what I expected, but it was exactly what I needed in the moment. It allowed me 30 minutes to think about nothing and take care of myself”.

TLP has also been gearing up to launch at Adanac Park Lodge this Fall. Adanac is a 72 bed residential home that provides care for those dealing with brain injuries. In the past couple months they have been working hard to recruit a team of volunteers specially trained to work with those in this niche community. They’re so excited to bring their biggest partnership to life!

They’ve been busy laying the foundation for their upcoming expansions, and wanted to let 100WomenVan members know that the bulk of our impact will come this quarter and into Spring 2017. So far this year, TLP has provided 305 free professional spa services. This means that by year’s end, they’ll have provided more than their projected 400 services.

The Lipstick Project Foundation is a Vancouver-based charity that provides free, professional spa services for men, women and children facing significant health challenges across Metro Vancouver.
